He studied a BSc in Chemistry and Physics, B.A. in Gujarati and Psychology, and an M.A. in Gujarati and Hindi as well as an LL.B. He worked with Union Bank of India before retiring. He has worked as a vice-chairman of Gujarati Sahitya Parishad. In addition to daily editorials in 'Gujaratmitra', he was also a language consultant in 'Divyabhaskar', Surat edition and also wrote humorous and literary columns. Currently his columns are printed in 'Sandesh', 'Dhabkar', 'Gujarat Today'. After 30 years of working in Union Bank, he retired 6 years early.

His fifty books are published in various genres such as story, poem, play, novel, comedy, translation-adaptation, biography.

Apart from 6 awards of Gujarat Sahitya Akademi, awards of literary institutes, medals and awards.
