Kirit Doodhat is a renowned Gujarati short story writer and retired bureaucrat from Amreli, Gujarat. He completed his primary and secondary education in his village and later pursued higher education in Ahmedabad. Dudhat earned his Bachelor's degree in Science from Ahmedabad Science College and went on to complete his Master's degree in English Literature from Ahmedabad Arts College.

He served as an Additional Collector in Gujarat from 2002 to 2013 before taking voluntary retirement to focus on his literary pursuits. Dudhat has been associated with several literary organizations, including the Gujarati Sahitya Parishad and Gujarat Sahitya Akademi. His notable works include **"Bapani Pimpar"** (1998) and **"Aam Thaki Javu"** (2008), both of which have received prestigious awards.

Dudhat's short stories and critical essays have been published in leading Gujarati journals and translated into multiple languages. He has also participated in numerous literary conferences and seminars, contributing to the discourse on Gujarati and Indian literature.
