Dr Hita Mehta Gandhi was born in Somalia and brought up in India. She is a Ph. D in child psychology, Visharad in Bharatnatyam, a renowned story writer, past president of Rotary club of Rajkot and recent Assistant Governer of the same.
During her presidentship at The Rotary Club of Rajkot, the first skin bank of Gujarat was established and installed in Rajkot’s civil hospital. Being the founder and president of Jeevandaan foundation, she has done a lot of awareness programmes regarding the noble act of organ donation.
Dr. Hita Mehta is also a renowned writer whose short stories get published in renowned magazines and newspapers from time to time. Her published books, ‘The Blackmailer’ and ‘Ame Baala raja re’ have been very well received within her community. She has also been invited to Akashvani, Rajkot multiple times to recite her poems.
As a child psychologist, she successfully owns and operates a pre-school. She has been contributing to the education sector for the past 30 years.
Dr. Hita Mehta has deeply researched in the art of Bhavaai and also written and performed on various stages.
