Gaurang Raval is a founder Gujarat based organisation, Sauhard and has been working on youth development since last 16 years. He has been nurturing thousands of young people as change makers for nation building. He was a state coordinator of Gujarat Collective, (a collation of youth centric NGOs of Gujarat).
He has set up various youth lead initiatives around youth leadership, promoting tribal young leaders, prevention of sexual harassment, psycho-social support and creative problem solving among the diverse communities. His organisation Sauhard worked intensively to promote youth leadership during the Covid 19 pandemic under a state level campaign, Gujarat Na Karmveer in partnership with UNICEF.
He also lead Mere Mat Se Mera Mat campaign in partnership with the Election Commission of India to promote ethical voting among young people during the 2017 Gujarat state elections.
Gaurang Raval was awarded President Clinton Fellowship for India in 2012 and prestigious Ashoka Fellowship in 2017 (one of the largest network of 4000 social entrepreneurs from 95 countries)
He has produced 6 documentary films, written and directed 15 theatre plays, authored a book ‘The Wicket Gate’ and written various articles, all around youth development and social change.
He is a visiting faculty in various colleges and universities. He is also a regular panelist on various Gujarati news debates.
