I was born in the state of Maharashtra and received my earlyeducation in Marathi. Later, I had the opportunity to study at the LokbhartiInstitute founded by Sri Nananbhai Bhatt and Manubhai Pancholi"Darshak" in Sanosara, Gujarat. Following that, I completed myMasters at Saurashtra University and obtained my PhD from Gujarat University.My thesis focused on the Comparative Study of Experimental Novels in Marathiand Gujarati.

My love for both languages inspired me to translate thenovel "Thank You Mr. Glad" from Marathi to Gujarati, whichsubsequently became part of the curriculum at both Sardar Patel University andSaurashtra University. I continued to translate works like "Dungar GharadoThayo" and "Savitri." Additionally, I authored children's plays,songs, and several singlke-act plays that were broadcast on the radio.

In the United States, I continued my writing journey,crafting short stories that were published in popular publications such as"Akhand Anand," "Kumar," "Parab “,  “Uddesh," "GujaratTimes,"  “Gurjari Digest “and"Opinion."

Literature and storytelling are my greatest passions. Mynarratives draw inspiration from social situations. Both of my short story collections,"Anuja" and "Ma Tu Aavish Ne?" depict the turmoil andresilience in humans.

Currently, I reside in the Boston area with my husband,surrounded by family and the joys of storytelling.

Kokila Chokshi is has received Gold Medal in B. A. with Philosophy and Psychology, M.A. with Gujarati and Sanskrit, B.Ed. She is Founder President of Anandalay a Non Profit Organization for Senior Citizen.

She is Member of Age Care Foundation a Non Profit Organization, involved in Advocacy of Senior Citizen's issues with Government and assisting senior citizens for their rights.

Member of Naisargi a Non Profit Organization, working on Environmental Projects including Discontinuation of 5 mm Plastic Bags and Tree Plantation.

In short she is Social Worker.
