ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય ફોરમ આયોજીત ઇશ્કે એ સાયન્સ વક્તવ્ય ના વક્તા ઉત્સવ પરમારે વિજ્ઞાનની દુનિયાની રોચક સફર કરાવી. વિજ્ઞાન જેવા વિષય ને નાની નાની વાતો થી રસમય બનાવ્યો.
આપણી આસપાસની દુનિયા ને સમજવા , જાણવાની પ્રક્રિયા થી આપણ ને દુનિયા પ્રત્યે પ્રેમ થતો જાય છે . તેમાં ઉંડા ઊતરતા એકરૂપ થતા જઇએ છીએ . તેમાંથી જે જ્ઞાન ઉપલબ્ધ થાય છે, તે વિજ્ઞાન જ છે. આખા બ્રહ્માંડ માં આવેલા સૂ્ર્ય, ચંદ્ર, તારા, ગ્રહો નું અવલોકન આપણને જિજ્ઞાસા વૃત્તિ તરફ દોરી જાય, તેમાંથી થયેલી શોધ તે વિજ્ઞાન પર ઉદ્દભવેલા પ્રેમ થકી જ શક્ય છે.
પુરાણકાળમાં સૂર્ય ગ્રહણ ની પ્રક્રિયા ને પરીકથા સાથે સાંકળી લેવામાં આવી હતી. વિજ્ઞાન તે સમયે લોકો જાણતા નહતા, પછી આવું કેમ થાય તે પર ઉદ્દભવેલા પ્રશ્નથી સૂ્ર્ય ને પૃથ્વી વચ્ચે ચન્દ્ર પ્રદક્ષિણા કરતા વચ્ચે આવે ત્યારે થાય , તે સમજાયું . આવી ઘણી આપણી આસપાસ ની ઘટના ઓ વિજ્ઞાન પર આધારિત છે એટલે વિજ્ઞાન પરત્વે રસ કેળવવો જોઈએ.
વિજ્ઞાન ને લોકો જાણતા થયા એટલે ગણતરી માટે ગણિત ની જરુર પડી . ગણિતમાં શૂન્ય ની શોધ વિશ્વ ને ભારતે દુનિયાને અર્પણ કરેલી શ્રેષ્ઠ શોધ છે, તેનાની ગણતરી ખૂબ આસાન થઈ ગઈ.
વેપાર વાણિજ્ય માં ગણિત ની શોધ થી ઘણાં ફાયદા થયા. ભારત પુરાણ કાળ થી દુનિયા ના દેશો સાથે વેપાર કરતું હતું. તે જમાનામાં advanced technology ભારત પાસે હતી. ધોળાવીરા ની સંસ્કૃતિ તેનું ઉદાહરણ છે લોથલ જેવા બંદરો ધમધમતા હતા. ધોળાવીરા શહેરનીબાંધણી લોખંડ ને વીજળી વગર થઈ હતી તે વૈજ્ઞાનિક કૌશ્લ્યનો ઉત્તમ નમૂનો કહેવાય. શહેરમાં જળસંચય કરવાની અદ્દભૂત વ્યવસ્થા હતી.
આપણું જીવન સાયન્સ અને ગણિત પર જ ટકેલું છે. રોજબરોજ ની જરુઆતો, સગવડો સાયન્સ ને જ આભારી છે. પુરાણકાળથી સંશોધકો સંશોધન કરતા ગયા ને કાળક્રમે અદ્યતન આવિષ્કાર પર આજે જગત ટકેલું છે. પ્રાચીન ભારત માં ઋષિ મુનિઓની સર્જનાત્મક શક્તિ થી વિજ્ઞાનના પાયામાં તેમનું યોગદાન રહ્યું હશે એવું જરુર કહી શકાય. બાળપણ થી જ માણસમાં જિજ્ઞાસાવૃતિ રહેલી છે, તે જ વિસ્મયતાનો ઉકેલ એટલે નવી શોધ .
