Hardship of woman in every stage of life is always difficult to categorize as she is the only entity in the world that is facing such a changing phase in her life like birth as a girl child, becoming wife and finally becoming mother. In the era of 21st century, woman wants be equal opportunities as man and foremost challenge is how to balance work and home. Gender bias, unequal pay, mental and physical harassment, these are some of the key issues of woman whether she is housewife or working women. Apart from all these, woman has to deal with almost all family duties like duty as mother, duty as wife, house hold and daily routine as well as many social duties. The main intention of this subject is to focus on such key areas and challenges faced by woman in today’s era and to put the psychological view of the issues, chllalenges and role of society to help for balancing the life of housewife and working woman in psychological, physical, social and mental aspects.
વિષય : રંગભૂમિ અને હું
ગુજરાત સાહિત્ય ફોરમ દ્વારા આયોજીત મીનળ. પટેલ. નું વકતવ્યે ખૂબ જ રોમાંચક સફર કરાવી. ' રંગ ભૂમિ ને હું ' શિષૅક જ સાબિત કરે છે કે તે રંગભૂમિ સાથે કેટલા ઓતપ્રોત છે.
સાવ સાહજિકતાથી ને નિખાલસતાથી બસ વાતો જ કરી. તેમના અનુભવો, કેવી રીતે રંગ ભૂમિ ના કલાકાર બન્યા તેની વિગતવાર વાત કરી. વકતવ્ય ની જરાપણ ખાસ તૈયારી તેમના દ્વારા કરવામાં આવી ન હતી. થોડાક મુદ્દા કાગળ પર માત્ર ઉતારેલા, તે કાગળ જ વકતવ્ય સમયે મળ્યો નહીં ,તે તેમણે ખુદ કબૂલાત કરી. કેટલી પારદશર્કતા!!
લગભગ 50 વષૅથી રંગભૂમિ સાથે સંકળાયેલા છે ને લગભગ બધી ભાષા મળીને 80 થી 90 નાટકોમાં ભાગ લીધો છે.
વકતવ્ય ની શરૂઆત મિનળબહેને શંકર ભગવાનના સ્તુતિ થી કરી. તેમણે અભિનયના પ્રકારો વિષે વિસ્તૃત માહિતી આપી. તેમણે જણાવ્યું કે આંગિક કે વાચક વગર પણ નાટક ભજવાય, ચોક્કસ સ્થળ ની પણ જરૂર નથી પડતી, પણ પ્રેક્ષકો વગર નાટક ના ભજવાય. તેમના શબ્દો માં તે પ્રશિક્ષણ અભિનેત્રી નહોતા, પણ પ્રેક્ષકો ની પ્રયોગશાળા નું ઉત્પાદન છું , પણ વકતવ્ય દરમ્યાન જ તેમની અદ્ ભૂત અભિનય શકિતનો પરિચય શ્રોતાઓને થયો. તે જન્મ જાત કલાકાર હતા તેમ જરૂર કહી શકાય.
અભિનય ને કલાક્ષેત્રે વરેલા અભિનય તેમને વારસામાં આપ્યો હતો. વળી વરસો દરમ્યાન થયેલા અનુભવો, નિરીક્ષણ ને કલ્પના શકિત ને કારણે ઉત્તમ કલાકાર બન્યા. કલા ને વરેલા કુટુંબ માં જાણીતા લેખક, કવિ ની પણ અવરજવર રહેતી જેવા કે સુરેશ દલાલ હરિન્દ્ર. દેવ. એટલે જાણ્યે અજાણ્યે તેમના વ્યક્તિત્વના પાસા ને ઘડવામાં તેમનો ફાળો પણ કંઇ નાનોસૂનો ન કહી શકાય.
તેમણે તેમની અભિનય શકિતનો પરિચય એક જ વાક્ય અનેક રીતે કેવી રીતે બોલી શકાય તેનો તાદશ્ય અનુભવ કરાવ્યો. તે વખતે તેમાં બદલાતા હાવભાવ, બોલવાની લઢણ તો લાજવાબ.
અનેક જાણીતા દિગ્દર્શક ને કલાકારો સાથે અભિનય કયૉ. તેમના માનીતા હતા અરવિંદ. જોષી., પ્રવીણ. જોષી, ચંદ્રકાન્ત. કુલકર્ણી, કાંતિ. મડિયા ,જેમનો સિતારો 60, 70 ના દાયકા માં બુલંદ હતો.
તેમની કારકિર્દી માં તેમણે કસ્તુરબા ગાંધી નો રોલ કયૉ હતો તે સૌથી પ્રિય હતો.
તેમના વકતવ્ય દરમ્યાન કંઇ કેટલીય કવિતા તેમને કંઠસ્થ હતી તેની ઝાંખી કરાવી. મિનળબહેને એક વાત ખૂબ સરસ કરી, કે આજે યુવાવર્ગ ને નાટકમાં એટલી રુચિ નથી પણ રંગભૂમિ એજ એવું માધ્યમ છે જેમાં ભિન્ન ભિન્ન રુચિવાળા બધાનું સમાધાન કરતુ મનોરંજન નાટક દ્વારા પિરસાય છે.
ગુજરાતી ભાષા ને જીવંત રાખવામાં ગુજરાતી રંગભૂમિ નો ફાળો ઘણો મોટો છે. અંતે રંગભૂમિ જીવંત હશે તો ગુજરાતી આપણી માતૃભાષા પણ જીવંત રહેશે ખૂબ સુંદર મિનળબહેન. ખૂબ ખૂબ આભાર

Meenal Patel is a well know Indian TV actress. She was born on 14 December 1957 in Surat Gujarat. She was born in Musician family as her father and grandfather both are a musicians. Meenal has been acting in theatre for last 50 years. She has performed in Gujarati, Hindi, English and also one Marathi play. She has featured in mainstream as well as experimental.
Some of the serials in which we can see Meenal are NDTV Imagine show ‘Har Jeet’, Colors channel show and ‘Basera’ on Star Plus. She also appeared in movies ‘Filhaal..’, ‘After the Weeding ’ and ‘Susman’.
She played the role of ‘Dadi’ in ‘Har Jeet’. The producers of the show is Shashi Mittal and Sumeet Mittal. The main story line of the show is about two girls, having totally different background. One is a rich business man daughter and other one is from a poor family. Meenal played the role of dadi of the rich girl.
Mrs. Patel was also a part of Colors famous serial ‘Mukti Bandhan’. The story of the show is taken from famous Gujarati novel ‘Mukti Bandhan. Her role ‘Kesarba’ is one of the important character in the show. The story is about a normal man I M Virani with a great sense for business. Keserba is the mother of I M Virani. Mr. Virani becomes the most successful business tycoon with the help of her wife Charulata. Since Meenal is also Gujarati, her role of Kesarba is highly appreciated by the audience.
Meenal has done some one-woman acts as well as story-telling performances. She has done theatre for women's movement and has also written songs for the same. She has been a part of poetry recitation programs. Meenal has been on the advisory panel member of the Film Certification Board. She received an acting award for the role of Kasturba in the play 'Gandhi Viruddh Gandhi.
