Geeta had started her career in journalism with Abhiyaan – Gujarati Weekly from Mumbai. During her journey as a journalist she had worked in various sections such as politics, crime & investigation, social and human stories. She was associated with Femina Gujarati as assistant editor and in various other publications including ANI, Gujarat Samachar, Sandesh for 15 years. She has been actively involved since 2000 as a story, screenplay and dialogue writer for various plays. At present she is writing dialogues for Gujarati Film directed by Shri Jayant Gilater.

Books : Sardar - The game Changer. A docu-novel based on unification of India was serialized in Midday Gujarati. A set of children book (5 books) Smiley and Clipi, full length novel Mrugjal serialized in Sandesh newspaper and published as a book, Full length novel ‘Tamara Vina’ published as book, ‘Priya sishu’, a translation of ‘Letter to a child never born’ written by Oriana Fallaci, compiled 6 books of Anandmurti Gurumaa in Gujarati, A Travelogue, ‘Chaardhaam yatra’, short novels published in Midday Gujarati in 2004 – ‘Jeevatdaan’, ‘Mom, I have a date’, ‘tareekh adhaar October’, ‘Sandhikaad’, etc., full length novel ‘Vanshvruksh’ published in Sandesh News Paper

Kaagdo’ – A surreal play in Gujarati directed by Manoj Shah.
Dr. Anandibai - Like Comment Share. A monologue on India's first lady doctor. Received certificate of Excellence from NFDC & Ministry of Broadcasting of Govt. of India for the short film- Kanha Gayo Re- in the swatch Bharat Short Film Festival Competition.
Adapted the play 'Rangeela' and penned title song in Hindi, directed and acted by Manoj Joshi

Shishir Ramavat is a well known novelist, columnist, playwright and journalist in our language.

His novels like 'Kshan-Pratikshan', 'Vikrant', 'Andharan Bolave ... Mane Ajwala Bolave' and 'Apoornaviram' have become popular. He has also published books on cinema, including the Hollywood Hundred: 100 Foreign Films to Watch Before Dying and Multiplex. 'Falak' is a collection of articles written on different topics. He has translated the book 'The Spirit of Lagan' into Gujarati. His 'Take-Off', 'Multiplex' as well as 'Readable' columns have become popular in publications like 'Divya Bhaskar', 'Sandesh' and 'Chitralekha'. His plays 'Tane Roz Malu Hoon Pehli War', 'Jite Hai Shan Se', 'Pratipurush', 'Harakhpadudi Hansa' and 'Hu ... Chandrakant Bakshi' have been acclaimed by the audience as well as critics.

Shishir Ramavat, who has worked as a Gujarati language expert in Microsoft, has also been associated with Aamir Khan's TV show 'Satyamev Jayate'.

He is currently the Editor of the soon to be published magazine 'Ha Ame Gujarati'.
