Highlights:

 

Ø  Running online as well as in person math tutorial classes at home in Murfreesboro, TN

Ø  Working on publishing a book about success stories of Gujarati immigrants

Ø  Received an award by ‘Gadya sabha’ (Bhavnagar, India) for writing

Ø  Wrote a story that was aired on a radio station in Sydney, Australia in May 2013

Ø  Received an award by Gujarati Sahitya Parishad (Ahmedabad, India) for writing in November 2011

Ø  Received an award in a story writing competition by Gujarati e-magazine,Readgujarati.com in 2008

Ø  Was a guest speaker to talk about social, cultural, and moral wellness during a women’s conference hosted by a religious organization called BAPS in March 2009

Ø  Was invited as an online speaker by Arts and Commerce college in Kutch, India to talk   about a classical story(The Almond Tree) in July 2021

Ø  Gave a speech on Rajkot Radio in Gujarat, India about the role of teachers in students' lives

Ø  Served as a member of the Tennessean Multicultural Advisory Committee of the well-known daily newspaper “The Tennessean” published in the city Nashville, TN, USA in June 2009

Ø  Served as the president and trustee of a non-profit Gujarati organization in USA

Ø  Served as a member of the Community Affairs Committee at the Hindu Cultural Center of Shree Ganesh Temple in Nashville, TN

Ø  Served as a public relations officer in Bartiya Vidya Bhavan in the New England area, USA

Ø  Organized events such as poetry readings and dramas. Also, meet and greets with many renowned poets, writers, movie stars and singers (such as Ramesh Parekh, Vinod Joshi, Anil Joshi, Tarak Mehta, Adil Mansuri, Manubhai Pancholi, Paresh Raval, Swaroop Sampat, Shekhar Sen, Ashit and Hema Desai, Anupam Kher and Kiran Kher etc.)

Ø  Worked as a research assistant in the pediatric cardiology dept. at Vanderbilt University  where I learned about DNA and genes in great detail including how to clone DNA in 2001-2003

Ø  Won an award for being the “Employee of the Quarter” for handling a very heavy work load as a medical technologist

Ø  Received an award for being the best trainer at a research and medical laboratory called “OUR LAB” inNashville, TN, USA

 

Hobbies:

 

o   Highly interested in reading and writing different works of literature

o   Have written many articles and poems which are published in different newspapers and magazines such as Phoolchhab, Stree, Gurjari Digest, Read gujarati, science magazines, etc.

o   Solving mathematical and other brain teasers puzzles
