She has beenwriting extensively, has over 50 published books, which arecollections of poems, essays, translations from Bengali, short stories, as wellas two novels so far. About 45 books are in Gujarati, her mother tongue,and 5 books in English. The collection of poems in English is called “A Petalat a Time”.
She has travelled extensively, to about 115 countries and on all sevencontinents. Twenty-three of her books are based on her travels around theworld, as well as to Antarctica and the Magnetic North Pole. Students atUniversities in Gujarat, India are earning their PhD degrees, with hercollections of travel essays as the subject of their thesis.
Many of her books have received prizes for Best Writing, she hasalso received Gold Medals for overall achievements, and she is included in manyAnthologies at Regional and at National levels in India.
