Captain Narendra is a decorated veteran of the Indian Armed Forces. He moved to England after twenty years of active service in India. In London, he worked for a metropolitan council from where he retired as Service Director in the Social Services Department.
A graduate from Gujarat University, India, Narendra obtained his post-graduation in Applied Social Sciences from the London South Bank University and a diploma in Management from Henley on Thames, Oxford. He took to writing after retirement. His ‘Gypsy ni Diary’ won Gujarat Sahitya Academy award in 2012. His English novel ‘Full Circle - Yuletide in Patna’ was highly acclaimed by discerning readers.
His Gujarati blog www.captnarendra.blogspot.com has been read over 100,000 times. Readers included authors and journalists such as Rajnikumar Pandya, Harnish Jani and Tushar Bhatt. They profusely admired his style of narration. His recently published English novel ‘Full Circle Yuletide in Patna’ received glowing tributes from discerning readers.
Currently, Narendra lives with his family in California.
