Dr. Bharat Pandya has been practicing as a General and Laparoscopic Surgeon since last 33 years. He completed his graduation and post-graduation from premier Seth GS Medical College, KEM Hospital, Mumbai and at present he owns & runs Pandya Hospital, which is an ISO 9001:2008 certified hospital.
He is a member of various medical associations e.g. - Association of Surgeons of India, Association of Medical Consultants. He is a Founder Member of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India. He is a Fellow of International College of Surgeons and Fellow of Association of Surgeons of India. He has served on the Board of Management of Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), a Central Government of India sponsored Vocational Training Institute for 6 years.
Rotary is one of the largest international humanitarian service organisations spread in 220 countries of the world. Dr Bharat Pandya serves as Director of Rotary International for 2019-21.
He was District Governor of District Mumbai & Thane. He is a sought after trainer and speaker at various Rotary programs all over India. He has served Rotary in India and beyond in various positions – India National PolioPlus committee member and has been twice International Trainer to train Rotary Governors from all over the world. He has been conferred highest award of Rotary – Service Above Self Award.
Known in his profession & community for his ethical practice, he has been recognised & awarded by local organizations for his services – to mention some - In 2013, during the Golden Jubilee year celebrations of Borivli Medical Brotherhood (local medical association), he has been conferred the BMB OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARD for his professional medical excellence and service to the local community, one of the only 12 doctors so honored by the association. On occasion of celebration of 50 years of Gujarat State in 2010, he was awarded Sanman Patra(Honour certificate) by Swarnim Gujarat Committee for his outstanding contribution as a Surgeon & Rotarian to the community in & around Borivli.
