Bharat Desai holds multiple degrees, including a B.E. in Electronics, D.P.A. in Sitar, PG in Quality Management (USA), B.P.A., Master in Performing Arts in Indian Classical Music, and a Ph.D. He was awarded a Ph.D. degree by M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara for his thesis on "Fulfillment of Desired Features of Sitar in Utility of Live Concerts of Contemporary Music - An Analytical Study."

He has published research papers in national and international magazines on topics such as the characteristics of the nature of sound for sitar, types of microphones used in music, and the impact of synthesized digital musical instruments on acoustic musical instruments.

As an author, he has written books on computer hardware, a featured futuristic sitar called "Bharatar," and "સૌંદર્ય શાસ્ત્ર – સંગીતના પરિપ્રેક્ષ્યમાં" (Aesthetics - in the context of Music).

Bharat Desai is the founder of "My Music Club," a group where individuals from various professional fields with a common interest in music come together to play and enjoy music purely for self-enjoyment, without any commercial aspect.

He has also invented a new musical instrument called the "BharaTar" and launched an instrumental music album titled "Folks on the String" in 2019.

Professionally, Bharat Desai serves as a Director at ab's Desh Infotech Pvt. Ltd., a leading IT company with 27 years of industry experience. He also works as an AV consultant and acoustician at SOUND BLISS, a company specializing in home theatre, auditorium, and theatre sound systems.
