Known as the birthplace of several prominent personalities, including Sardar Patel and Manilal Gandhi, Nadiad is quintessentially Gujarati. The people in Nadiad are known for their love for literature, music, and theater, with strong influences seen in its festivals, cuisine, and day-to-day life

Nadiad has contributed immensely to Gujarati literature. The city has produced many authors and poets who have enriched Gujarati literature with their works. It also hosts many literary events, including poetry recitals and book launches, which see participation from Gujarati authors and literature enthusiasts.

Although he was born in Kolkata, Sri Aurobindo, a prolific writer and philosopher, spent a significant part of his early life in Nadiad. Aurobindo's works, including essays, poetry, and plays, have had a profound influence on Gujarati literature.

Dharmavir Bharati served as a faculty member at the Dharamsinh Desai University situated in the city. His works in Gujarati literature spanned diverse genres and have been influential in shaping modern Gujarati literary thought.

Nadiad is also home to a number of libraries that house vast collections of Gujarati literature. These libraries serve as important cultural hubs where literature lovers can explore classical works, contemporary novels, and poetry.

Bhavai, a traditional form of Gujarati theatre, is popular in Nadiad and is often performed during festivals and community gatherings. Modern Gujarati theatre also has a strong presence in the city, with local groups regularly staging plays based on works by Gujarati playwrights.

Bhavnagar born Shree Harshadbhai Shah has achieved limitless titles.

He started his career with Indian bank as a cashier and progressed up to Asst, Chief Officer within 22 years. Presently, he is appointed as a Non- official Independent Director of BPCL, Ministry of Petroleum

Currently he is working as In charge Vice Chancellor of Children’s University.

He established Shree Saraswati Shishumandir. This school has full education facility from KG to Class XII at Bardoli. Dist. Surat

Harshadbhai was nominated as a member of syndicate by Government of Gujarat in Veer Narmada South Gujarat University from 2003 to 2006.

He also held a President of Gujarati Chalchitra Paritoshik Samiti for three years.

Harshadbhai has written 15 books which are published such as Gramya Jeevan Pragatina Panthe , Vicharyatra , Rashtra Chetna and many more……
